Hey guys, I've been a longtime onlooker of this forum, so I think this is my second post :) Some great work here.

I thought I owuld share some of the work i've been doing with Zbrush and Max. I'm still trying to make the workflow work.

Blockins in zbrush, then taken to max to fix topoloigy, then back to zbrush for sculpting, then back to max for displacement render :).

Nice models Denzil40, especialy the Dino. In my humble opinion the semi human head is overworked, it probably would gain to be smoothed again and reworked only in some parts with a smaller brush, to create small veins and bumbs.:tu: :)

I use max too and my workflow is pretty similar though I take much denser meshes from zbrush and completely redo them. I use confomr compound object (along vertex normals) so I don't need to do it too accurately. If you try this, make an instance before conforming so you can edit the mesh and see result in realtime. If you are using vray displacement I think you can hide those black dots with higher antialiasing. Nice work anyway :tu:.

cheers :)

Yeah, I might revisit the head, and try what you sugested :)

cpt suicide, thats a really sweet tip. Also, so thats how you get rid of those darned black dots, i thought they were results of the displacement map, anyway i'll try that out.

cheers, denz

Well they are actually a side effect of the displacement but for some reason they disappear when antialiasing is increased. I use mostly simple 2 level antialiasing because it has good quality and is faster than high fixed rate antialiasing.
