View Full Version : smooth not smooth enough
why is it that the smooth ttool doesnt really smooth after a certain point i mean lets say i add a wart and i wanted to remove it how is the best way to do so? my obvious answer would be to smooth it back to place but this seems to not work all the time is there something im missing here? i have the intensity set to 100

If the smooth brush works like the smooth slider used to, then it is averaging vertices. So if your mesh is very dense, then what you are probably getting is a smooth wart :p
If you want to revert back to your original mesh, store a morph target before modeling and then use the morph edit brush.

Hi elfufu,
In addition to what Bonecradle said ( hi :).
Even if your mesh is very dense you should
be able to smooth all the way to a flat surface. If you have an area with a lot of polys hide the rest of your mesh leaving the
are you want to smooth. (You will get a speed
increase when you do this because Zbrush wont update hiden points) Then with just the
wart in view scrub the area with the smooth
brush with the Zintensity set to 100.
Let us know how that works.

In addition to all this great tips from the ZMasters, I'll add my 2 cents, if I may :p
I think that maybe another way to do it is to go to a lower resolution of the mesh and smooth the area you want...
