How do you learn ZB?

I know about Quicklinks, tutorials and zscripts, but I'm overwhelmed by how much there is to know before actually making something presentable. What are the very first steps to understanding how it all works?

thanks

Hit the esc key to stop a script at an interesting spot. Then start playing around with it.

Depends on how you learn. ZB can be overwhelming (especially when you want instant results like what you see from all the great contributors here!!) if you wanna do it all at once.

keep in mind everyone starts at the beginning (better than bottom) and learns bit by bit. Start with the basics in zhelp.

if you are trying demo 1.55 I highly recommend reading the manual and trying to play with a specific feature for kicks and learn how things work. the zscripts that come with both versions are excellent learning tools as well.

or if you are like me.....play with everything, trial and (mostly) error til something clicks...then read this forum (a major well of info from folks who have walked the path before you) and watch every script over and over, and read the manuals/guides.

like it or not you will become addicted!!

allow yourself small steps! :D
