After concealing and masking parts of the mesh, I used Smart Resym to mirror the bull bodies front-to-back without disturbing the center portion of the body.

Now this is awesome! I don't know how practical the actual design is, but for a logo or something this rocks!
My only crit is the swirly parts. I can kind of see that it's supposed to be hair, but to me it looks too cartoony compared to the natural sculpting of everything else.
Definitely one of the best models I've seen here!
Beautiful sculpting job...muscles are just perfect...Interesting design too...

Its awesome.. really great modelling.. how many polys have the human body? was done using a zspheres or a imported mesh?
The only think that dosent like to me .. are the hands.. looks small for me..
The torso is OUTSTANDING.
I woould like to see it rotating in a video.. im sure that im not the only one.. please do it..
Cheers!
I like this but how much is done in ZBrush?
The modelling is just great but it does look like it's done in something like Maya or Max, maybe a look at the mesh will help us look at the modelling of this baby. or Bully Baby :)
However it is a great image and deserves top shelf in my humble oppinion.

I think this started out in another sculpting program, I can't remember what it was called. He posted it awhile ago, when Z2 came out. So if you do a search, I'm sure you can find it.
After he sculpted it in the other program, he pulled it into Maya, and then it went into Zbrush.

The software is called Freeform.

Zack,
Your modeling is truly inspirational... I can't wait to see what all of these models are for! I bow and scrape!
Best Regards,
Michael
are you the same Zack from the new Cinefex? wow not only are you a good sculptor, you are also HOT!!!
This is f###ing amazing whoa! The anatomy and the flowing direction of everything is absolutely perfect. I was just about to ask to see the base mesh when I read the earlier post about where the mesh came from.

Thanks.
Also, I do recall making a model or two for Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. We used ZBrush beta for a lot of our organic models. Worked well with PRman.
The mesh for this model is aprox. 9.500 polys, the upper torso is about 4.000

Zpetroc very nice control of volume particulary arms and pectoral area.
your first publication was very nice, and now.. just amazing.
I'm curious to see your creature in action,

thanks for the info.. now i have some new "things" that i would like to know.i hope that you can answer to me...(us)
Is Freeform like Cyslice and Paraform?? who is better?
And how many polys have the high model version in Zbrush?.. the upper part ..and the rest?
I ask this because i did a model, but have only 70.000 polys..(i want to retake it) because i have not a good computer (AMD 800 , 256mb :( ) i hope to have a new one soon..
What about rotating model video? can you do it?
cheers, and thanks

Outstanding modeling skills! Kudos!
Very nice modeling you're a killer in anatomy
You avoid the blobby effect so frequently seen in a zbrush stuff (how did you do it :) ?)
the part I do not understand is the bottom of the belly, is this a *****?
I am currently modelling a character and seeing
your work think I should not go to far in the modelisation of the details and do that in ZB.
5 the problem is I love that :) , and I did not succeed to extract and reimport a good displace map in may 3d app

So, trying to answer some questions.
1. How many polys is the ZBrush file?
2.4 million at 5 levels of division. I'd like to divide one more level to clean-up and further detail the sculpted hair.
2. Is FF like cyslice or...?
FreeForm is a modeling software that can also create patches like Paraform. www.sensable.com (http://www.sensable.com) can give you more info.
3. Is the thing on the torso a *****?
Yes, that is a giant bull schlong.
4. How do you achieve non-bumpy, controlled surfaces in ZBrush?
The best way I've found to avoid the "bumpy" surfaces in ZBrush is to stay away from higher levels of division for as long as possible. I try to do as much sculpting and surface development as possible at lower levels. You don't need much detail to develop the form.
5. Can you make it move?
Yes, wiggle your monitor.
6. Regarding the tie?
Unfortunetly, in the future my tie will no longer be a viable point of conversation as I've already decided that the next add I appear in I'll be wearing only Butt-less chaps.
