Upgrade Instructions:

For customers registered in the Digital River system (who purchased, upgraded or downloaded a replacement copy through the Pixologic website since November 2001):

1) Visit the Upgrade Page (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_MAIN.Entry9?xid=37831&SP=10107&PN=4&S1=2)
2) Use any of the methods provided to access your customer history. If you know you are in the Digital River system, but cannot access your account, then you'll need to contact Digital River at 1-800-656-5426 (in US) or +1-952-253-8400.
3) Download ZBrush 1.5

For customers not registered in the Digital River system (who purchased from a third-party reseller, or purchased a version prior to 1.23b and never upgraded), you will require special instructions to receive your upgrade. Please send an e-mail to matthew@pixologic.com with the following information:

1) The name that was used when purchasing ZBrush
2) The e-mail address that was used
3) The source of your purchase.

Once we have been able to verify your information in our database, we will send you upgrade instructions. Please be aware that due to the incredible demand for version 1.5, it may take several hours for us to be able to respond. The requests will be processed in the order in which they are received.

Note: customers who originally purchased a CD version will receive the upgrade via download.

Important: It will not be necessary to request a permanent serial number at this time. Although the serial number accompanying your upgrade is time-limited, we will issue a software update prior to its expiration, after which you'll be given a permanent serial number.

Rushed home at lunch and here it is!!!!!!

I am downloading it now but the process will have to run on it's own till I get home from work. I only have 58K modem so it will take about 2 hours :(

If by chance anything goes wrong during the download is there a process whereby I can download again??? THANKS!!!

Northstarr I got in last night when it was screwy, canceled it, and went today when the notice went up and it asked if I wanted redownload, so you should be fine.

Question: If I download it at home for my home computer and wish to put it on my work computer can I download it again or do I need to transfer it some other way?

Mentat, it's a zip file, so you should be able to copy it to a zip disc (if you have one) or burn it to a cd, but I'm not sure if you can have it installed on two computers.

Deleted by me since my post on the main forum made this one redundant.

Argggh. Wanna make sure I'm doing this right. I put in my email and stuff and they gave me an order number saying it wasn't completed, then send me to a page with an order for Zbrush for $399 and say they will charge my credit card.

Does this mean I have to call them? or does everybody get this? I ordered via Pixologic site through Digital River originally but have already redownloaded once.

I think I purchased v1.23 back in november 2001, but when I go to the ugrade download page in pixologic site it says there is a problem and can't process downloads.

Any idea?

Karasuando and anyone else who gets the 'order not processed' thing has to contact Digital River to straighten it out. I gave them a buzz (I'm in the States) and after only 15 minutes waiting someone took care of me.

I'm all downloaded and ready to install!! Wow the download was fast. I have a 56k modem and it actually came down at 5.6k/sec!! whooohoooo.

I have to get some sleep first (not ZBrush's fault...well, not totally :D ) but I've been up 21 hours now.

ZZzzzzzzZZZZ and Happy ZSphereing to All!

This is what i did:

:: Went to the dowload page as stated.
:: Clicked on "Customer Service -- upgrade to ZBrush 1.5 for Windows or Macintosh"
:: Clicked on "re-download or view details of your order."
:: Clicked on "redownload"
:: Saved the file.
:: Now able to install and play with Zbrush!

Just in case it helps someone else avoid anxiety disorders - I tried giving Digital River my email address but it didn't recognise my password. Ditto with the order number and customer number. HOWEVER when I then tried to Download my Order Details again... it took me straight to the download page having pieced together the necessary info from my previous abortive attempts, presimably. Thanks DR.

Enter next feeling of dismay... "this server does not support resuming". But even on my poor old 56K modem, only took 40 minutes or so to download.

Bill's a happy man! :D :D :D :D :D

Bye y'all - off to complete the installation now.

OK, downloaded 1.5 upgrade, but have a question. Whenever I view my Digital River invoice, it says my total is $292.50. I hope this doesn't mean I'm getting charged that amount. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Thanks,

No, that's the price you payed for ZBrush 1.23b. If you had been charged for ZBrush 1.5 your invoice would say $399 (or thereabouts)

To make it simple, you are just re-downloading your old order. The difference is, the old order was linked to the file of ZBrush 1.23b, they have no changed that link, and redirected it to the ZBrush 1.5 file. So if you just redownload your order (Which is free), you get ZBrush 1.5. Simple eh?

Thanks MJ. I thought that was the case, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't a glitch and others saw the same thing :)
