Hey

Im thinking of picking up a graphics tablet. Ive heard WACOM's are the best but their a little expensive. Now I figured I might just get a graphire2 because it's $99 but today I saw another tablet called the Aiptek HyperPen USB PC Tablet. It's the same price as the graphire2, has similar features but is a 8 x 6 instead of the 4 x 5 which would be nice. Does anyone have any advice they could give me? I want a good quality tablet with good compatiability but Iam on a budget so... :)thanks

I am only familiar with Wacom.

Quality, dependability, service, drivers...more money DOES equal better.

I have a wacom 4 x 5 which does me good. I haven't heard of the other, so I can't do a comparison. :(

I use a Wacom 8 X 6, and it's been a true friend to me... :)
As well, it's big enough to tape things down to follow for guidelines in modelling, as well as to use a straight edge for lines.

I've got the Aiptek that you're referring to. It has been very reliable, and serves my needs nicely. I'm sure that more expensive ones would do more for me, but I'm not complaining about what I've got at all!
