lets guess!.
I guess tomorrow, the message I get when I go to the update page just screams: "It will hopefully fixed tomorrow" ;).
I'd say it's outta Pixologic's hands now and they are waiting for Digital River to sort out the server problem! At least it's all finished and there's just a wee hiccup pulling the curtain off the statue.
Nothing to stress about. :) Catch some shut-eye :o
good things take time ...
so im still confident :)
I lurked all day yesterday waiting, expecting to get up and get this update this morning, Im really disappointed in the way this was all handled. I should have known by the way things were going it wasnt going to happen, did anyone at all actually get an update before the "server problems". I missed what happened. So I guess now we are back to "soon"
I'm pretty sure we are talking hours here - not days Tammy.
Don't worry! It's all cool! :tu: :tu:
Don't lose faith! Silly things like this happen! Nothing's been handled badly! Pixologic have delivered version 1.5 and there's just a wee hold-up with the postoffice.
Thanks upham :) I hope you are right.
Tammy, what happened was that they initially posted a message saying basically "finally, come & git it," and those of us who were here and awake rushed over to the URL and started downloading. The page said it was version 1.5, but the download link was actually still pointing to trusty old 1.23b! There was much scratching of heads...
Pixologic figured out within a couple of minutes that things weren't working, and pulled the message with the bum link. What apparently had happened was that though they'd finished their work and uploaded the completed v1.5 file, the download servers somehow hadn't propagated the change, and the link was left pointing to the old file.
Though they've been pretty silent since then, I got the impression that Pixologic went stomping off to get medieval on the butts of the server people. :D Must be mighty irritating to have finally finished their work and have somebody else's system prevent the customers from getting their mitts on it...
I think the only thing to say is, it honestly appears to not be their fault! (And I'm sure they'll all have a hearty laugh over this, once they finish pounding their heads against the wall. :D )
