here is a mac-stuffed .sit file of a multimarker/polymeshtool i created this morning out of a custom 3D-terrain and 4 cylinders (i hope that winzip is able to decompress (i have no means to zip it otherwise, sorry). if not, and you are still interested in it, let me know via private message giving your emailadress - it should be an about 1 mb attachment - or, even better, mayhaps someone helpful knows how to zip it for PCs and adds that converted file in one reply):

edit: Digits made a PC-zipped version available in his reply further down the thread - muchas gracias, Floyd! :tu: :tu: :tu:

for macusers (stuffit):

4 pillar arch (http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/CompositeMesh01optnt.ztl.sit)

here is a short look at what could be done when combining 4 of those (better to rotate it by 90° along x-axis first) into yet another multimarker/polymesh, snapshotting it and pushing the new one further away with global perspectivity enabled:

how not to use it :) :

duplicating/flipping layers and tilde-ing them is no good for global perspectivity :D as the 16-pillars tool is a 25 mb one, i wanted to take a shortcut - and failed - but hope to come up with something better over the weekend.

Have to find some time to fiddle with this one Juandel :tu: :tu: , in the meantime thou I took the liberty of making a zip file for us window users without a SIT expander.

muchas gracias, Digits! :) and everyone else for your comments, as well!

i realized that the tool i had optimized for zipping looks mucho different to the one i used in the above pic... but as it is much less heavy i was able to construct a polymesh out of i think 12 of them and i kinda like the irregularities in there i decided to use this one instead of the smooth version.

the result is confusing me a lot:

http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/gwlbhochnobodfl.jpg http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/gwlbhochbod.jpg

the left one is a best render with flatten layers on, the right one was done with a transparent plane to fake water as the last layer and flatten layers off to make the material look transparent - nothing else was changed but making the waterlayer visible and deactivating flatten layers

now i am aware that the arch-layers are a bit awkwardly connected. for some reason that is confusing me even more than the rendered result zbrush at a certain point refused to switch from gyro-rotate mode (i had inserted x - 180 to flip it horizontally in transformation-info) to gyro-move-mode (with which i wanted to drag it down): the arches showed up nicely after inserting the numbers, but as soon as i wanted to change into move-mode they snapped back & kept rotating back into x - 0 position no matter what i did (direct keyboardshortcut w or leaving gyro-mode and reentering it or doing gyro-move ahead of the rotate). mayhaps this has something to do with global perspectivity? i recorded the session up to this point (but dont know if the problems keep appearing when rerunning it on another system). i guess one needs the tool provided above to get the script running. i hope that someone finds some time to have a look at it :)

session (http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/globalrotateprob.txt)

the only workaround i could think of was to use tool-deformations-rotate x-180, which didnt result in perfecto sitting depth and my attempts in placing it right resulted in the awkward best render with flatten layers off.

oops im a little late on my reply.
but anyways i tryed to save the zscript but it didn't work.
you can re do it and ill make the Tool load by it self.
do Not
1 Zoom
2 Re size Document
if it dont work that time let me know if your 180 degree ing it with a Slider in the deformation pallete or by hand...
ive been using ken b tool that has Front, back, left, right, bottom and thats the same as them sliders and i beleave can cause a zscript to mess up when recording

thanks for checking this out, EZ! :) i will try to record another session in default format asap (might take some time, busybusy days ahead) - i have the feeling my prob may be due to very sparse memory - and the size of the polymesh. dunno. never happened before. what i did was rotating it via the transformation>info>slider - inserting a value for x-axis only, then wanted to switch back into gyro-move mode (i usually just hit w) - for a little while the cursor appeared as a twosided arrow, then the tool rotated itself back into an upright position.

hmmm, anyone has any idea why the flattenlayers-off render shows that imperfections while flattenlayers on hides them? the transparent plane layer doesnt cover the high arches even.

zbrush big zscript error was from Zooming.
zoom zoom.
i can take the zoom code out of your script but it will not still work..
they probley never fixed the Problem(maybe).
there is MANY Default problems but i was never a Beta usser
 im just a lone some rider on my stick horse riding into the sun set

sorry to intrubut your post.
and another BUG if you have a 3D object and you have the GYRO active and want to go into EDIT mode just Hit the Letter T and it will go right there but if your in EDIT Mode and hit the Gyro = W you have to double click T to get out...
Z-sphere now its set up draw size 64 whats the point? if you have to move you need to set the Value LOW
if you cant correct it in the program what about set some coding up in the Default Z script if possable...

Amazing architectural delights Juandel, hope you can get the problems you're having ironed out. :) :tu: :tu: :tu:
