Hmmm this remainds me of the movie "Lord of the Rings" when the butt-ugly spider comes out... really sweet! :)

Thanks Aztec...soljA :) now I know what kind of fish to add (if I add a fish) the kind that eats spiders :D

Found an underwater cave (forgot which galaxy the planet is from) and went inside with the Spaceship’s SubPod and took a picture of some of the cave’s wall.

Hey Polaris30 how is your Budda model coming along?
The rock like texture is one I made (could't get the color effect in ZBrush - not saying it can not be done in ZBrush)
The texture file I have jpeg-ed to a 368kb file size.

ok I re-sized the texture and tried it out in ZBrush it looks ok for those who want to try it here is the zip file rocks texture.zip (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200407/user_file-1083825752txv.zip)

NOTE for using the texture to get the effect of the rocks in the image: the texture material works best on orgaic shapes and try the following Z2 Material settings
Basic Material
Basic Material 2
Double Shade 1
Double Shade 2

A dash of color (Note: no painting on these images used only textures and Z2 materials to get the colors) plus lighting and rendering options (edited- added some more info)

Hi Space
Zb rocks with the rocks :)
Pilou
ps You have made your "rocks texture.zip" with Apophysis ?
SpaceMan
05-06-04, 10:02 AM
Pilou yes and no
That is the textures like the colors here
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200405/user_image-1083862927roy.jpg
yes but the colors did not work right so I eliminated the background color and added the lighter color thru layer in back in graphics program. Color still not looking what I wanted so I eliminated some other colors then merged the layers then used the saved image as the texture.

BTW Pilou - I think you started a post with links to textures. Post a link to your post with texture links

You find some very good links of textures on this thread here (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=013926&p=)(slide the page)

Thanks Pilou for the link - I thought you started a link post for texture links (I'll check the coummity fourm for it- maybe it was the free be post)
The image is 4000x2000 but I had to resize and save as a jpeg at low setting- I hope you can see how the ztools worked in creating the image. I learned more of ZBrus's ztools from doing the underwater seascapes. Some of the ideals where inspired by Polaris30's post seascapes from his zscript posted there. And for Pilou for posting a link to a gallery which showed an image (amoung others) done by the software Apophysis.

Note: I got some white areas (as noted in the second image) I did not get rid of them but I did use the rock texture for a light color which changed the whites areas to another color.
