After seeing Strike recents posts and video, and Pixolator's video, i had to attempt at making some sorta detailed creature. i was originally planning on doing the the whole body but i got distracted with just the head and neck area, so i am only showing that part. i am still trying to learn how to do different things with projection master, so this was an experiment. i really like the multi-sublevel sculpting, and the partial mesh visibility, they are really nice features. Z2 is an AMAZING program!

now i have to figure out how to texture this thing without messing it up. Strike, got any texture Zscripts up your sleeve?

credit goes to MTB for the mat and light in the second pic. i am still struggling to come up with my own mats and lights that look half decent.

Comments and tips ALWAYS welcome!!!

comments: WOW great modeling! and any tips YOU can give me would be greatly appreciated.. you're obviously past me. Are you planning to add the rest of the body? Would love to see something there...

thanks wenna and Frenchy!

well i dont know how many tips on modeling i can give but i will give it a try. this is kinda how i worked on this one:

:b3: start out with zspheres and block out the basic form.
:b3: preview the mesh constantly using the hotkey "a" to see how the zspheres are working together.
:b3: using sublevels 1 and 2 continue to move points around until satified.
:b3: divide once or twice and add some of the main details and muscles
:b3: keep dividing and adding more and more detail. (*remember, hiding part of the mesh allows, you to work at higher sublevels without any problems)
:b3: once the main form is completed use shift to line up the model and then drop it in Projection Master (make sure the "double-sided" box is checked, so you don't end up having to do each side seperately)
:b3: now comes the fun part, just use the different brushes and alphas to detail the model (don't forget about the differnet stroke types too)
:b3: finally, pick up the model and smooth out any areas that you were not satisfied with from PM

thats really all i did, i hope this helps a little! now i have to figure out how to texture this thing.
