It's a Girl! She's Home! Update and Pic

My wife had a baby girl on April 9 at 4:28 pm weighing 7lbs 4.9 oz. Her name is Audrey Faith Merchen. Mother and daughter are doing good, no major complications. She has plenty of company and competition with her 9 brothers and sisters. I will post pictures tomorrow if I have time. :D

Thanks to all. Just a quick update. Once she was born, Audrey took a turn for the worse and she had to get oxygen. They had to keep upping the amount until finally she reached 80% and they had to put a tube in. They had to give her medicine for her lungs to help them mature a little faster. She is making a comeback though and she is now down to 37% oxygen and breathing on her own (without the aid of a machine). They just have a small oxygen hood over her. She hasn't eaten yet since she is taking up to 100 breaths a minute. Once she gets the breathing under control then she can try eating and then come home. We are anxious to see that day come. I also have a decent picture finally.

Thanks Rob for your Easter wish, and thanks to all for your concern for our little one. I wanted to get a quick update in. She now has her tubes removed and she started eating from a bottle. Its a funny thing, after 9 days they lose the sucking reflex required for a bottle. So, she has had to relearn that reflex at a very young age. She is doing good though and we hope to have her home this week. Thanks again! :tu:
