As busts seem to be a popular subject in Zbrush I though a few of you might like to see the work of Franz Xaver Messerschmidt.

A search showed he hasn't been mentioned before so maybe this is a recondite corner of the art world and net that even Frenchy hasn't seen? ;)

Messerschmidt was an 18 century 'German' sculptor who towards the later half of his career and life embarked on a study of the human head and its expressions.

Unfortunately the pictures are quite small but I hope some might enjoy them any way :)

yep, its a shame there are mostly tiny reproductions of FXM online, bonecradle! back when ZBrush’s character headologist Ken B. :) did his red hed series

So much for the search eh :rolleyes:

But at least it meant I got to see Ken's red heads.

Looking at 10+ pages of posts I am now wondering what treasures are buried within.

Your 2 sites are very interesting and funny !
If you take the subway all the days you will seen all these faces without problem and surely more :)
