View Full Version : Why I bought ZBrush

Hi All,

Beyond needing a way to model and paint, all of you at ZBrush Central are the main reason for my purchase.

I've decided to toss my Hash:AM in the bit bucket. AM is nice, but there's no comparison between the communities. Where you all provided help, AMers provide sarcasm and ridicule.

Thanks, Everyone!

Welcome A2-6

Your absolutely right about this place, I have yet to get beaten, kicked into the gutter or run over by a car just because I wanted to show some art or ask a question. I call this place an oasis on the internet and the more likeminded people we pick up on the way the merrier!

Hi AngelTwo-Six,
you mention the very reasons I stated for never joining a board. Visited plenty, and like yourself, found much that was said to be needlessly rude, combative and ignorant.
Then I dropped by here - and returned time and again. Then joined, again for the very reasons you mentioned for joining in. It is a great place, with great people. Enjoy.

Welcome to the family! I already had ZBrush before being introduced to this forum, but it was thanks to everyone in here that I learned to even begin to tap the program's power. There is still so much to learn, but this forum and its people (both on the Pixologic side and at the user end) have helped in ways that are beyond words. It's a really amazing community, and I'm sure you'll have just as much fun here as the rest of us!

Hello AngelTwo-Six. You are certainly most welcome to our family with an attitude like you have just displayed. Much can be learned here. Much can be shared here.

Much love. :)

'Afternoon AngelTwo-Six . . . :)

Seeing that everybody has already stated what had to be said, I can only agree with the above statements. :D

If you will permit yourself enough patience & time, I think you'll find ZBrush an amazing program, & the forum, ZBCentral, a never-ending site for information & the pleasure of viewing everyone's work. Whether it's an experienced user's image of a photographic quality, or some beginners first post of the best he or she can do, it really doesn't make any difference. We all consider ourselves one big family, & being so we are very willing to help each other, if we can. ;)

Relax, enjoy & by all means - have a good one . . . Mark.

ChadC: 3D Commune used to have an AM forum. Zip for activity. They've since changed it to a catch all for any 3D program.

There's another one, but it's been so long since I bothered, that I can't remember the URL. But it was pretty much the same as Hash's list.

The only place that has any uncensored activity is YaHoo's egroup. I wasn't very impressed with that, either.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

Regarding A:M groups: The best is the Hash email list, Animaster, that is 'moderated' by Hash. Send a join request to steve@hash.com. This group is fairly helpful, I thought, but it does not have the cool personality of this ZBrush group. I don't know if AngelTwo-Six is referring to the Animaster list or not, but it is a very well populated and busy list with lots of creators and it does have some people who will help or give helpful criticisms.

Welcome, Angel Two-Six. I wasn't able to get into ZBrush Central until I got to work this morning, since I don't have a working computer right now. :(
