Hi, all,
This is my most interesting pice of art yet, and also the fastest to produce!
It is just a few cubes I put alpha masking on and modify+deform+size (x,y,&z)
I call the picture Metalic Nightmare, it kind of reminds me of an escher picture... maby I will put little guys walking all over it :)...

I hope you all like the picture... If anybody wants the alpha I used just ask and I will post it for you.

Hi, again all,
I went back and spent a little more time useing the same alpha masking tequnique, but I rendered it a little diffrent... Maby I can add little lights around on it or something? make it look like some kind of alien city.... Dunno :) Had alot of fun makeing it though..

Hi Polaris
Great metallic landscape
For me the first is the good one :)
Can you post some drawing steps of your technic :)
because some "cubes and alpha mask + deformations xyz" can give many things different :D

Thanks all for your nice comments :)
This is a pretty cool trick so I put together both a tutorial and a script. (yes polaris has the full version, Best $400.00 I ever spent!!!!!!)
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200305/user_image-1054138383hyq.jpg
and here is the Script....
PolarisAbstract.TXT (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200305/user_file-1054138507vhe.txt)
When the script asks to load a file load this Alpha...When you save this Alpha name it Techno... I dont know if it matters, but just to be safe make sure the filenames match :)

If anybody needs more help, Just ask and I will do my best to explane :)
Well that is is all  hope you enjoyed the script and the TUTORIAL..

Thank you Pilou,
I made another picture and saved the script.. this script will make a metal like material for you and some tools,
Like the script above It will need to load an alpha file... use the above Techno file again...

Very cool work,
Nice techniques,
Thanks for the mention!
I especially like the first image.
BTW, take a look here for something very familiar... Space Ship Zscript (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=009041&p=3)
Take care,

Hi Polaris
Yes I think that you have a reduce size in Zbrush :)
It's a good way to work at the double of the final render because you have a special function
It's the AA size (I am not a specialist because as a Demo user I start at 640*480 :)
Ctrl + 0 (null) = half reduce
0 (null) Normal view
Take a look also page 24 of the Manual some great informations ( Half and reduce Menu/Document :)
Have happy Zbrushing
