Hey,
I thought I'd start a zbrush sketchbook of sorts...
Here's the first doodle (kind of zombie) , Approx 3 hrs of trying stuff out. LOVE the new CurveTube brush, it's awesome.

This one has taken about 4 hours so far. It's Daryl from The Walking Dead, but stylised. Long way to go, Haven't got a clue how to build up the crossbow in zbrush!

Also anyone got any hints on modelling non-solid goatee's?
Thanks
Matt
This is looking really good, as for the crossbow Id start with shadow box and create it in a couple of pieces, the modify the insert brush to hold the new shape, then combine and Dynamesh. you can go mad sculpting away then. Just a thought. Look forward to seeing this complete.

ok so Im at loggerheads with the crossbow model. I'd appreciate it if anyone has some tips on this. Shadowbox is great, but I cant get the detail into the mask to make the parts (What I mean is, the mask brushes dont give me the fidelity to make some of the compound shapes).

This is what I'm trying to make. As you can see there are some fiddly 'machined' shapes in there. Is there another way to make this?
I'm trying NOT to go into Maya to do this, I could whip it up in no time there, but I'd like to keep this in zbrush.
Hints and tips greatly appreciated.
