Inspired by Cneofotistos' "EVA"
This time 3ds Max rendered version. All modeled and textured in ZBrush and I wanted to see what happens if I take it to Max and render with Brazil.

It looks like there's some Matrix thrown into the inspirational mix, too. Although I doubt I would have picked up on the Christos-inspired bit if you hadn't mentioned it. LOL
Impressive work, with an expertly done use of fog and depth. :tu:

Reminds me of Bill Ellesworths work
BILL ELLESWORTH (http://billellsworth.com/)
Thanks. I'm happy to read comments.
South, I'm checking Bill Ellsworth's site.
Chris, Am I on your favorite list? No, You're on my list :)
Oh, I updated the pic. 2 bugz and a little hair added.
Wonderful use of color and lights there dOb!

Dob,
There is so much to look at. It has the look of traditional illustration rather than digital art. I suppose it is your relentless organic composition.
The mixture of metal into the organism is beautifully executed. This really soars.
The repeating imagery in the background works well in this instance to bring out an eerie feel. I keep seeing the background shapes out of the corner of my eye as bees, so the swarm imagery comes to mind. Even the subtle signature is a masterstroke. This really goes off.

You're really using ZBrush to it's fullest. This is a beauty. There's a very interesting "strange birth" movie on the Lots of Robots (http://www.lotsofrobots.com/LORqt.htm) site that you might find interesting.

I wish I could... I'm a newbie. Here is a list of zfeatures which I cannot use effectively:
:b4: Stencil
:b4: Fiber Brush
:b4: Lights
:b4: Functions in Deformations drawer
:b4: Tool Composition (Yes, Still I cannot place the tools on canvas like how they are in my mind)
:b4: All other things hided in drawers or in the program code... even I don't know they exist :( Brrr!
thelonious,
<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR> I keep seeing the background shapes out of the corner of my eye as bees, so the swarm imagery comes to mind <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Wow. This is most beatiful comment I heard of... I never thought in that way till I read your post and you're quite right. :)
sunny,

Thank you. You're very kind. And I'm very pleased to get your work Z-DEVA I loved it. Especially harmony of reds and blues.
I love this forum because of you pals. Kathy says all the time... This from is different. Because we like to share... Not only images, techniques or zscripts! We share feelings. Thank you all.
And Thank you pixolator for this wonder program. I cannot imagine the future of ZBrush! I can remember the times when I "first met" photoshop 2.5 with no layers! no layer effects!
I better go and paint some digicanvas :) You pumped me energy that I need :)
ok, i think you are trying to see how far up the hair on the back of my neck can go! Great work by the way....... It went far!lol
Zorry :) But I couldn't help myself and decided to post 3ds Max version of Lotus III.

gasp..now that is a right clicker for sure....click.... :) my question is can you render that whole original image that way..I would lovvvvvvvvvve to zeeeeeeeeeeee it....why is is so much sharper in the other program? I am somewhat naive on this
Hey Ron, Thank you :)
Would you like to know details really? It's an honour to tell you. Just let me know.
Out-Frigging-Standing images, dOb!
Since you are producing images of this caliber already and claim to not know very much of the depth of this program, you are an excellent example of how Zbrush will become THE most important tool in a 3DS Max (Also Maya, SoftImage, etc, etc....)user's arsenal!

i think it render very nicely.. you have some really strong talent.. what i did to become better at zbrush is study and study some more.. and i always tryed to do the things that i thought couldnt be done.. not in zbrush but in my head.. great image and great project..
Zoid, AWESOME link to that Lots of Robots movie. I've only seen the first part so far. Everyone with broadband should go check it out. If you're on a dial-up, well, go visit someone who's got broadband and check out that link!
Thank you, Zoid. :tu:
Zoid, Nikko I tried it... Quicktime movie didn't play smooth on QT 5 Even I've downloaded the whole part :( But it seems real good. Especially music!

Amazing imagery ! you should work for Cronenberg designing bizarre objects of his films WOW
Hi Nikko,
I'm glad you liked it. I see stuff like that on the 3d Total (http://www.3dtotal.com/) website. (BTW, I noticed from another thread that you and I are the same age)
dOb, I'm sorry if you or anyone else had trouble viewing the movie. I went back and checked and noticed that the smaller sized downloads are disabled. So it's just the 25mb one. It's interesting to see your Max render of your image. I have been playing with the Lightwave7 demo recently and it's a very different world. I can only imagine how much work went into this LOR movie. It is very inspiring and very humbling at the same time.
Yes Zoid, You're right. Much work and time went into this. It's a time eater. But You feel unique things that I cannot tell...
I've downloaded 25 MB. one. I've ADSL conection and no problem at all. But It didn't play well. So I didn't get the second one. Also I noticed there's another work... Kind of Horror...
Lightwave is a good choice :tu:
Wow. Another bookmarked site. Thank, Zoid! :tu:
I think you're on the money about this LOR movie. The amount of time and effort to produce it must be staggering, depending on the number of people who worked on it.
Great pics! Very atmospheric... Very cool! :)
