Hello everyone,

Decided to start a sketchbook on here in the hope it will keep me regular!
I'd like to get a couple of small sculpts done a week, if I can, to improve my skills.
So to start off this week, here is a (Cardinal) Beetle and a (Common, European) Frog that I did today. I'm hoping to work my way up to some decent sculpts as I learn all the new tools.

Comments welcome (although these are just quick sculpts, not polished final models!) :)

I'm also trying to find a clay sculpting class somewhere near Chester, UK, as I am sure that traditional, real world sculpting can only help my zBrush efforts, but it is really hard to find any classes :(

Thanks,
Chayground

Today's sketch - Red Junglefowl (Female) - This is the (still living) ancestor of domestic chickens.

I followed the eagle tutorial for the feathers, although it was just a sketch so I just used one feather alpha rather than creating a few. Still found the feathering hard going, hence not modelling the entire hen!

Another sketch, this time something cartoony!
Only spent half an hour on this, I love the speed of zBrush for sketching, it would have taken me at least a couple of hours to do this in max, if not longer.
