I haven't posted in ages. Haven't had time to play with Zbursh much until this weekend. I was working with zshperes using the radial symetry at a count of 80 and I found that with the spheres being so dense that it gave a rather interesting effect that the finished lamp didn't even need to be skinned at all, so I textured it and left it as is. These little shperes sure are versitile! By the way the lamp is one piece.

Thanks for taking a look. Comments welcome!

yes these zspheres have an esthetic for their own, what your lamp wonderfully displays. never played with radial symmetry that high, very interesting effect...

Hi Northstarr
Lava lamp :)
Try once time to save you picture in Gif Format with black as transparent.
You will obtain an effective result in the thread post :)
Maybe not with this one who have many gradient of black :)

This reminds me of the phiball tool in XFrog. That's 1,000,000,000 and 1 uses for zbrush and counting.

Ok, jaundel, here it is! One tool. At times like this I wish I had done a zscript, but I didn't so I tried to recreate it and took shots along the way.

IT is actually very simple.

After I saved the tool, I used the reflectivemap 12 shader material with a goldish tint. Then changed material to a plain shader and painted the top and bottom and left the fringe alone. Added some lights and a base & background, faint fog and there it is!

I hope this is what you wanted me to show..

Thanks guys! I was just taking a break from this monstor web page I am designing for a new business in Maui. And I usually mess with zspheres when I take a break. I had an idea, tried the experiment and it worked!

Now I hope to get some time to go through the posts and see what everyone else is up to!
