My fathers youngest sister passed on in New York City a few years ago. In looking through her photos my cousin came across a lot of old photographs, One of these was of an inter-island schooner we owned. I spent a lot of my summer vacations sailing the Caribbean on this boat.
The image here does not do her full justice, but seeing those photos certainly brought back many fond memories.

How could I not reply to an image like this...What a yare vessel Joe...
Champagne stern, lean lines, and she looks like she could make an adventure out of a beam reach...! :D
Lovely, Joe!

You also seem to have portrayed my favorite moment in a cruise...The time when you've found your anchorage, dropped the hook, and you reach for the rum and lime! :tu:

Thanks SC. Somehow I knew I would raise a response from you with this one. It turned out fairly well.
I am already thinking of ways I can improve this image, but for now it will have to stay as it is.

Another very nice image DeeVee - not used to seeing so much man-made content in your images, though of course the context explains that. I'm no yachtsman, but I'm pretty sure I could enjoy relaxing aboard in that anchorage! :tu: :tu: :tu:

You said you were looking for ways to improve it. My only suggestion would be to include a little more detail in the dinghy to give some texture to the plain blue outline - otherwise I'd say it was pretty well perfect as it stands.

Once again, I would like to thank all who have shared this image with me.
I am looking forward to trying the painting side of the new version of ZBrush. It appears as if only the modelers voluntered to be beta testers, so we are yet to see the true potential of the 2.5 side of the new version, if the painting side is anything like what we are being teased with on the modeling side it might be worth while looking forward to.
