Very imaginative image Joe... :tu:
As someone who has lived with an elephant fanatic for over 30 years, and one whose studio contains her elephant collection, I have to point out that the tusks should curve upward, but I love the enigmatic way you placed the elephant in the picture!
:tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:  :)
I really like this Deevee. Tons of your great foliage and the elephant peaking out gives so much interest to the image :tu:
Thanks for the information SC. I am sure that you would know that as a Veterinarian I would know that the tusks should point upwards. I just could not get it done the way I wanted using the snakehook brush.
Well let us just say that this is a very young elephant and the tusks are to short to start curving. In the next few years, maybe :D :D :D

Clever - I love the way you've composed this, Joe. At first glance it looks just like foliage against a brooding sky, before the eye takes in the huge beast that was momentarily invisible. Excellent.
:tu: :D :tu:
Thanks for the comments, they are all appreciated.
i like it DeeVee but the eye's look like there ON the branch's instead of him looking threw them....
probley just throw a little more follage over the eyes to camel flog it would look good :tu:

I love how he's not there then he appears! Love that foliage, DeeVee. Sorry I haven't been commenting much but I appreciate all the paintings you've done.
I love all the 3D stuff too, but it's refreshing to see people using Z for straight painting and I've been following yours with interest.
I'm sorry for mostly lurking, but I use ZBC as a break from everything else. I love to see what people are doing and especially the banter back and forth between all of you. Always leaves me refreshed with a smile.
