wasn't there some new feature that let you do like cubic skinning with zpheres? i can't remember what it was called and i have no idea how to use it, but i thought it would like make flat surfaces when you skinned your zsphere model. does anyone know what i'm talking about or was i just imagining this feature.

Hi Josh,

You can only do it with a Unified Skin. With your ZSphere model selected, set Tool>Inventory>Smt to 0. Then press Make Unified Skin.

The resulting mesh will be made up of cubes -- but with a twist. Every sphere, whether a regular ZSphere or a linking sphere, will be its own cube in the resulting skin.

If you don't like this result, then you have another trick available to you. You can skin your ZSpheres using Adaptive Skinning or the default Unified Skinning. Then you can select the skin and REskin it using the Smt setting of 0. This will create a mesh that is made up of lots of little cubes rather than several big ones.
