Well, I picked up Zbrush for the second time today playing with some seamless alpha heightmaps. The more I play with alphas The more I like them... I made the ocean floor and the boxes from the same seamless Alpha texture...

I used the Alpha texture below here to make this picture. it is a seamless tile I made in a diffrent application called texturemaker.

You right, play with the "Alpha" is one of the funny way of Zbrush and it's infinite :)

Ps Zbrush is also a fantastic "texturemaker", try it :)
There is a special key for tilling !
Left Clic + Hold the Tilde key(~) (depend of country keyboard (french it's key "% ù" )
and move the canvas with the mouse in any way :cool:
Also you will can make crazzy tilling Alpha textures :cool:
