Ok I was haveing a problem with an adaptive skin made with Zspheres, when I was useing texture master and I was dropping my mesh to paint.
I would paint my mesh and press the pick button and my paint stuff would disappear.
after talking to pixologic (auric) on the phone I learned that I may have pressed one of the functions in the draw panel before dropping my object, makeing it so I couldent add textures anymore...
well insted of trying to back track and finding out what button I pressed, I just saved my model as an OBJ file and reimported it.... OBJ files dont keep ZBRUSH info with them so basicaly it let me start textureing again!
Soooooo,
If you are haveing this same problem textureing a mesh (model), and it seems like it is not letting you edit the texture anymore... Just Export the mesh as and OBJ file and restart ZBRUSH and import your mesh/model, you will then be able to complete your texture...
I would like to Give a Big thanks to Auric for helping me in the forum, and on the phone.... with out the help I would never have known if it was a bug in Zbrush or if it was something I did.... and as usual it was something I did... saveing it as an OBJ file makes so Zbrush forgets My mistakes!! and I would have never came to this conclusion without Aurics (pixologics) help! Thankyou very much! (I have been waiting almost a week for lightwave to give me info I need, ZBRUSH I got help within a few hours!)
WOOT!
ok well I am going to post what I have been working on, and also post a picture when I get it completed. the texture got a little screwed up by me... and I still have alot to learn about shadeing.

any shadeing or textureing hints would be greatly appreciated. this picture is just to show the basic shape... I am probably going to re-texture the entire model.
