This is a very basic script created to help Lobo69 and Monkeyfarm as discussed in this thread Editing skin before skinning.....why? (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010396)
This quickie script shows some of the advantages of editing in preview mode....as well as some of the disadvantages. For example you do not want to get too elaborate or carried away with your editing otherwise you may wind up with a big ugly mess when you try to repose the figure. Also I would concentrate on refining the base form of the figure during this phase and concentrate on detailing it after it has been skinned (for future reference keep in mind displacement mapping also). If for some reason you decide to change the mesh density or are unhappy with the results in preview editing you can reset the mesh by going to TOOLS>TRANSFORMATIONS and setting MORPH to 100. The skin will then revert back to it's unedited preview state.
:b3:A couple of notes about the script. When it asks you to save the figure save it as Figure.ztl
:b3:The lighting goes a little bonkers at the end of the script but it is no big deal. You can adjust them however you want after the script ends.
I hope this helps.
