serialnumber

I´m just wondering before I go ahead and buy z-brush
is there a serialnumber that will work even if I reformatt the HD or buy a new computer or do I have to get a new serialnumber ....
every time this happens???? :confused:

Hello, Sweden! Wow. 912 members, already. It looks like the ranks are swelling exponentially, now.

As far as I know, you do have to get a new serial number when you upgrade/reformat/throw your old system down a deep hole with a stick of dynamite/whatever. But you will also have 30 days from the time of reinstall during which your temp serial number will be good again, while you wait for Pixologic to get you a new permanent one. So you won't have to go without your daily Z-fix. ;)

It's a bit of a pain, I know. But Pixologic is helpful and friendly beyond belief. And with all of the piracy of high end graphic arts software going on these days, it's hard to fault them for coming up with a system as tight as this.

Don't let a little thing like the serial number methodology keep you from tapping this program's full potential.

Ewa Ewa! It's so nice to see you here! I hope you do join the ranks of ZBrushers. I see Aurick has answered your question...sorry I didn't know the answer for sure. Pixologic is a great company, not like another one I won't mention who I don't even like to talk on the phone to. ;)
