Hi all,

I filled the background with an image and I want to draw Zspheres over it. the problem I have is that when I rotate the zspheres most of them disapear when they cross the background plane. I know I can move the objects in the Z axis using ~ + alt or using the sliders in the layer's controls but those only work when we are not in edit mode.

When I create the first Zsphere it is placed directly on the surface of the background plane so if we create an other zsphere over it and rotate the zspheres a bit, the second zsphere will pass through the background and disapear.

Is there a way to move the background so far away that the objects never intersect with the background without getting out of edit mode ? it's really useless to move the background away if I can't edit my model anymore afterward.

The alternative is to move your model forward. You can do this selecting either Edit ::Move or Edit ::Rotate and click-drag the mouse outside of the gyro.

I tried, it don't move along the z axis, just rotate the model around it's axis wich is at the middle of the model so half of it get hidden behind the background :(

In edit mode there is no gyro when you go in move rotate or scale

I have created a small ZScript which should help you learn what to do. Each step has a Note which explains what I'm doing.

Clipped.TXT (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-1045362597fjs.txt)

Hope this helps! :)
