This is terrific! Thank you so much for the technique.
Thanks Theloinous . . . :)
I appreciate your taking the time to post this Denim Material, Texture. I have had use for this type of a texture many times now. I used to rely on PhotoShop for doing so, but now I can stay right in ZBrush & get satisfactory results. ;)
Have a good one . . . Mark.
shut down zbrush and re run the script you posted then go here http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=005830
you have [IPress,TEXTURE:RGBGrab02]
change the 2 to a 1 like this
[IPress,TEXTURE:RGBGrab01]

Thanks EZ,
It's fixed now. There are so many pitfalls in scripting.
I'll have a good look at your link
Excellent technique, Thelonius! And good catch EZ!
It looks just like it's supposed to, thelonious. Thanks much!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess denim is a masculine sort of material, maybe this fetching mauve cable knit will get the girls equally excited.
Using the same technique with these settings:
Dots distance 4, No specularity, No noise, Colour bump -10
This would make a lovely mauve cardigan for your mum.

no, sorry, it looks like i havent saved the script/material :(
it isnt as fantastico as thelonious’, but i tried to redo something similar during lunchbreak... mucho fiddling with material settings and rotation, sorry, maybe it gives you the right idea how to achieve denim anyway. denimscript-txt.zip (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200402/user_file-1076585666arq.zip)
unrecorded but probably worth to point out: to grab a refined texture create a fast shader 3d plane covering all of the canvas, and increase the h and vrepeat in tools>textures subpalette, than grab the refined one :)
