I posted my little girl on Renderosity and withing minutes it had it`s first comments. I posted `Giant` and Floating Elf at the same time:

quote:
Glen, I admire your touch with zbrush... excellent. The only thing I think that might improve this otherwise very very good image is a touch more shadows and highlights. The loincloth looks just a tad flat... I'm looking to see where the light source is and it's kind of indefinite... but sometimes there is that kind of foggy ambient light. Just my two cents...

VOODOO posted the comment refering to my Giant image. I don`t know about you but I always like to check out my critics and hopefully learn from them. VOODOO is in fact Will Kramer (one of my all time favorite digital atists) and keeps his art at renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=voodoo) and at Earth Curves (http://www.earthcurves.com/)

one of my favorite images by Will. (http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=118689&Start=1&Artist=voodoo&ByArtist=Yes)

Will Paints onto an image in a way I have yet to see equaled. Let me know if you agree.

The Leap (http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=76868&Start=1&Artist=voodoo&ByArtist=Yes) is the one that made me a Voodoo fan. He is very, very talented.

As for Mari, here, what can I say? She's certainly not gorgeous, but the detail is! The faun legs are very cool, that whole head is intimidating, and the costume is remarkable. My only :td: is that the skin is a bit too specular. Otherwise, it's :tu: :tu: :tu: all the way!

South,

Is this what you wanted to create exactly? If it is then I have no crits...

Oh, on the other hand, there is more important thing... I can clearly recognize your work without seeing your name! You've style.

Good work!

Absolutely beautiful image Glen. I admire your work, as much as I do Mr. Kramer's. Stylistically, you are very different from one another - however, the talent is no less. Nor is the inspirational quality of your art. Congratulations on another fine addition to your portfolio.

VooDoo is most definetly the Photoshop King. Very Frazetta with his females.

I LOVE Mari's hooves!

I think this is a very well done image. Living in the Cayman's I am not offey with what some of you are saying so I can only comment on the image. Great stuff.

Please don't tell Mr. Kramer Glen, but I like your work much more.
Hahahahahaa...really.

And I think she's truly beautiful...all in the eye of the beholder.
I can only aspire to get close to this.

paul, you're sooo right, and i'm sooo tired of naked poser females plus some photoshopping, as technically outstanding it may be.
compared to the slick, clichéd, lifeless and even premade (yes, i'm a follower of the *poser is evil* community :) works on earthcurves, your pictures got way more style, imagination and skills, southern.

btw: you know what we like to call such pictures? *photoshopped to death* :)
not yours, of course ...
