Ahh! Thanks to Shinzaho’s … latest thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000773) I’ve discovered the HIDE-POINTS button in the
Tools> Selection Palette. With this I’ve created a box with a face missing, so I can
emmulate the walls of a room.
Here’s the tutorial. There look likes lots of steps, but I’ve just writen everything down for newbies.
Give it a go and see what you come up with!
:: Step 1: In the TOOLS Pallette, select the box.
:: Step 2: In the Box’s Intitalize sub-palette, change the YSIZE to 70 or smaller.

:: Step3: In the SELECTION subpalette click the MASK ALL button
Change the SEL (select count) to 16. Then click ROW.

The box will still be still look unmasked, but when I rotate it in the Object Preview I see that a quarter of the box is umasked. Make sure you hit the RESTORE button so that view rotates back into the default position.

:: Step4: Now click the HidePT (Hide Points – meaning hide unmasked areas)
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994330737bti.gif
The unmasked areas will disapear. If you rotate the box the effect can be seen. Don’t forget the RESTORE button!

Also at this stage turn off the SH & SV (smooth Horizontal & Vertical) so you don’t get round corners on the box.
:: Step5: At this stage you can draw you box on the document window and rotate and position it as big as you want.

If you rotate it enough you MAY see the back of the box move through the back of the Canvas layer (but you don't want that!)
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994330984ajf.gif
:: Step6: Go back to the TOOL>SELECTION subpalette and click Clear to clear the mask off the box
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994331123idd.gif
:: Step7: In the TOOLS>DEFORMATION subpalette flick the PERSPECTIVE slider up to 100 –TWICE!
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994331195wmt.gif
:: Step8: In the document window, rotate and scale the box with the gizmo to a position that fills the screen.
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994331261nuf.gif
:: Step9: Next I experimented with coloring the walls, but quickly realised that I should of set the H & D divide way back in step two! This would mean endless fiddling around to with the Select-Count (in step 3) to get the same result. I’m not too sure about how to get the correct result with the masking grid. If anyone can figure it out PLEASE show me!!
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994331332oji.gif
I hit DIVIDE 3-times, in the TOOLS>DEFORMATION Subpallette to triple the count of the ploygon mesh. I also slide the perspective up again to make the room depth longer! Sweet!
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-994331386uer.gif
:: Step 10: Then it’s a matter of placing objects into the room adjusting the perspective to fit into the room.

Thats all! Not the best of examples, but something to start the ball rolling.
