Because I don't know how to do the ball texturing I use this honeycomb change colors..

And using photoshop again I design this basketball court as a texture for the floor. This was the closest I could get.

The balls are a little too red, but you've done an amazing overall job. Great attention to detail, including the reflections in the floor. I can't wait to see more!

Hi GUS,
thanks god that these are no realistic basket-
balls. I think it's an fantastic abstract
picture with wonderfull colors which make
me dream of any other things than basketballs!

Your court is perfect realistic!

But I really prefer the red wonderfull unrealistic things.. :p

I have to say you did a wonderful job recreating basketballs for it is no easy task. Even though they could be improved, who's picture can not?

Hello Gus,

I think this is gorgeous, truly tremendous!!!!
I agree with JOLA, this is combination of superb realism with an abstract nature. The reflections are unmatched with anything I've seen within ZBrush. Are these ZBrush reflections? If not, I have no problem with that ;)

I would not change the texture or color - I wouldn't change anything about the basketballs. The combination of colors is very dramatic - enhanced by your selective blurring.

I would add 2 more touches from within Photoshop - shadowing. The basketballs appear to be floating above the floor - if this was your intention forgive me for not understanding. Most people will see them this way. A shadow would anchor them to the floor. I suggest a simple drop shadow in Photoshop. The shadow would correspond to the opposite side of the highlight on the balls.

The 2nd shadowing would be on the bottom of the balls themselves. Notice in the reflections, particularly on the closest, the reflection includes the dark underside of the basketball. It's exactly how I would expect it to be except the bottom of the basketballs is not dark. A subtle darkening on the bottom of the balls would have a dramatic effect.

ZBrush is very accommodating for making masks for use within Photoshop. Assuming your basketballs are own their own layer in ZB just paint them a flat white, then export for use as an alpha.

This is a very fine image, good work

Hi GUS, wonderful image! :tu:
Great job on the court, and the blurries are cool too. :) Nice texture on the balls, I like how you can just see the small honeycomb pattern, and the black line shapes-- I've tried to make those and it's Hard! Great job.
