Latest WIP for CGTalk LoTR Challenge

Here's my latest WIP...

This is the pose I'll be using in the composition.

Still need to tweak a few things in body model, then I can start texture mapping and modeling all the little doodads.

He's going to be holding a staff eventually, not a can of beer. Although maybe I'll do that for a joke! :)

I'd love to hear suggestions on what looks good or bad.

Here's a progression of the head modeling. Head followed the Adap. path, body went the unified skin route.

wow great ! only thing i would change is the thickness at the top of his tail. it seems unnatural, being neirly as big as his legs.
i like him a lot. keep going.

Time's running out... does anyone have a CRAY supercomuter I can borrow? I'm working on this image @ 3500x4000 with 12 layers. Needless to say it's a pretty big file!
