Just experimenting with creating some tools for some upcoming projects. Already have ideas how to improve on this. Stay tuned.

I'm not keen on weaponry, however, I think the texturing on the metal blade is beautiful.

Great image as usual Mr. Mentat
I think that the handle could be a bit longer for the size of the hammer. IMHO.
I know you are a perfectionist so I thought you would not mind an honest comment.

The second version of my warhammer. Not happy with it so it will undoubtedly go through many incarnations as I attempt to get one with the "right" look. The name of the hammer will be Wurmsmyter if that gives you any idea where I am going with this....

You may not be happy with it but the handle is more proportional, than in the first version!

These darn artists and there self-criticism! This hammer is soooo cool :tu:  :tu:

I know someone else made up a bunch of weaponry for something (can't remember who), but it looks like it would be a lot of fun to create interesting pieces like this one. The closest I ever came was an axe.

Hey Lonnie! ;)
Although the first one looks more functional, the second one is MUCH cooler! And I agree, the wrapping on the haft is perfect.... :tu:

Very nice hammers!, my favourite is the second one tho. I think mostly because the "natural" (IMO) length of the shaft makes it feel more powerful.

I think this will ultimately be the final design. A few little tweaks to the handle and some wrappings etc and it will be ready. Now I just have to make a spear and a shield and a few other props.....

And this is made from multimarkered objects.

Very nice!!!!
But i think that a bit of metal here and there on the head of the hammer would be great

The material is temporary and will most likely be changed once the scene is completed and I incorporate the props. The hammer isn't even colored or textured yet. It's just base color with a material and some colored lights and a little fog.

Can i make a comment?
At the bace of its scull, its just a "pole" sticking up into its head, how about some thickness for support or some wort of joining bone thing?

Mentat7

drk3p: Additional mass will be added as seperate objects once I place the prop in the scene. The handle will be thickened as will the joining end under the hammerhead and the butt end of the handle.

On my journey to making a spear my Cone3D suddenly turned into a spaceship. It looked interesting so I let it be a spaceship. A little side endeavor........ now I must continue with my spear.........
