ok I wanna ask a couple of questions on workflow for displacement mapping...and the new z2 version... ok I understand the concept behind all this so here goes,
a-. do you paint the textures before you displace your models?? can you paint in lowpoly version and then displace or will it stretch your textures??

b-.can you animate displacement maps, I am doing a sharpei I was thinking that what I could do is rig it and set different poses as the dogs running for example... export as a high res object and edit the diplacement map as neccesary then reimport and blend my different maps depending o pose, that way I could get a softbody type of effect, would this be a viable way?

Here you have from Pixologic the explanation Normal Displacement Map (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbrush/zbrush2/images/displacement/displacementphone.jpg)

ps:you work with your model to the high resolution you like and of course your PC allow it, then make the texture with this high details and then applied the grayscale displacement map to a low res model.
