Is it possible to make a 3d model of a head of oneself using a 2d photograph showing all profiles : front, back, side to side?

Yes, but not automatically... ;)
You should make sure that the different views match up as well as possible, which is difficult, given that the camera lens will introduce parallax error. But for your head, and with a little massaging in Photoshop, it should be fine.
You can put each picture on a different layer. If necessary, scale and move the pictures so that your head and features are the same size and are aligned from layer to layer. You can have one of the picture layers turned on and have a model layer turned on as well. Model your head in the model layer. Use at least one multi-marker to mark the position of the head. Then you can switch background layers and rotate the head to match the background layer.
