got a head....need eyes

I've made a head. I want to put eyeballs in the sockets but whenever I make a sphere it originates in the middle of the head and I can't seem to move it to the proper location so that the sphere is sitting in the eye socket like it should. How do I move that sphere so it's sitting where it should in relation to the head?
