Hi :) ,

i was having a play with how much form/shape i can achieve without altering the adaptive mesh created in any way. the mesh is the tool in preview mode, density 3 and no other modelling done. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200401/user_image-1073732009juu.jpg

here is the tool if you want to have a play.
Spider.zip (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200402/user_file-1073732067ywl.zip)

i had ires set to 1 and membrane curvature at 100. the way these settings tend to hug the zspheres seems to suit insect bodies quite well. have fun :)

Having done some of this sort of experimentation myself, I thought this might be useful to you T... ;)

This shows me doing the same kind of experiments, when ZSpheres were first introduced... I hope it gives you some ideas...

hey that was a cool thread stonecutter. i'm finding the more i play around with zspheres and preview, the more actual shape i can acheive in my model without any sculpting. i must admit the style of character i chose suited the ires and mem settings well and the spider thing just seemed to appear. i was very impressed at the amount of form you managed to get into a humanoid character with this method. i will probably have to give one of them a go next.

thanks for the link stonecutter :)

Any time, T! ;)

(And if you adjust membrane settings, and use a limited number of 'Attractors', you can get a lot more definition with little actual modelling...Here's an example.)

(I probably posted this before as well, but I thought this might give you some ideas...This is a default settings skin...)
