Is there a way to smooth particular areas while working in 3D modeling mode without having to smooth the whole model, like if I wanted to smooth an area on the model that had some wrinkled or rough vertices that needed ironing out?

Hold down the shift key while in draw mode. Curor will turn blue, showing you you are in smoothing mode. Let go of shift to go back.

Take care, good luck. ;) :tu:

U can also accsess this through the editing tools in the transfom panel ... thats where all the tools are including the symmetry stuff.

I see that it is possible in the Z2 version but unfortunately I am using 1.5, probably wont be able to do it with the older version.

yes you can.

Hold down the Ctrl key and paint a mask on the area you want to smooth.

Go to the Masking sub-palette and invert the mask.

Then use the smooth slider in the deformations sub-palette.

Clear mask when happy and repeat as needed.

TADAA!

Good Luck.

Thanks Mahlikus, The support here is out of this world, I can see that Z2 has broken the beariers that use to exist in the 3d modeling world, the threshhold has been pushed to a new standard because of you guys, everything will look more real now because of your revolutionary surface modeling.
