Well, I finally overcame my fear of really digging in and writing a utility ZScript from scratch. It really wasn't that hard, but as I've said many times before, "I am not a programmer!" :) Anyway, here is a nifty little utility that builds on my ColorQuick utility (which can be found here) (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=006075) to add a powerful new feature.

The bottom part of the script works exactly the same as the ColorQuick script did. It allows you to mix colors with great speed and accuracy by pressing just a button or two.

The top part is completely new! This row of 9 buttons allows you to store virtually everything about your current brush settings. We're talking Tool, Width, Height, Depth, Imbed, Z and RGB Intensities, Draw Size, Draw Modes (M, MRGB, RGB, ZADD, ZCUT, ZSUB), Material, Color, Alpha, Stroke type and Texture! A new button will then appear, allowing you to recall that brush again at any time for as long as the script is running. (Sorry -- there's no way for your settings to be stored from session to session.)

:b4: :b3: :b2: Click Here to Download PaintQuick (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-1026953641pyo.zip) :b2: :b3: :b4:
(It's only 104K)

Please not that it requires 1152x864 or above for your monitor resolution. It may also be a little taller than the default ZScript space. You can adjust the ZScript window to be larger by dragging the separater bar upward a little.

I hope that you find it useful! Let me know what you think!

Looks pretty cool, Matthew... :)
Even though I like mixing colors on the fly, I'll have to check this out!!

Should be useful. Thanks for another meanful utility. Your efforts are appreciated.

Edit: I am having problems getting the various colors to show up. It came up in green and no matter how many other colors I select it remains green.

Very nice script Aurick! :tu:

I hope that now that you have "overcome my fear of really digging in and writing a utility ZScript from scratch", we will see more of these from you. :)

You know, just as an idea, how about using stroke files to save the stuff from session to session, like Pix's ZList and my movieplayer. Though maybe 1.5 is going to make that unecessary...

Hello, I hate to be a downer but mine doesn't work! All I get on the three colour sliders is blues, when I click on the red, yellow, or magenta or green, I don't get the colour choices for those, the sliders remain blue. The two sets of arrows don't seem to do anything?? I went over the tutorial a few times but I can't see the problem??

Sorry but can you help??
:(

OK I am back, now here is what happened...
I have been working using a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 the print is small but I can manage. In order to get the paint mixer to open up fully I have to use screen resolution 1152 x 864. I can then use it, but I can't see the print for the sliders & modifiers etc. And I lose the top of the ZBrush screen so I don't have access to the minimize or close buttons. So I can't close the program.

Any suggestions???

It works smoothly for me and is very useful. Painting with this will indeed be very quick. Thanks Aurick! I like the fishy inter face too :)

Hi Northstarr,

I think that when you changed your screen resolution, you also needed to change your monitor settings (the dials, knobs or buttons on the monitor itself).

For the other part of your question, I don't understand what you mean. The Recall buttons will not really appear until you have stored something using the Store button above each.

Everyone else who's commented: Thank you! I'm glad you like it and find it useful.

Aurick I changed my resolution and was able to get the utility to work ok.
Sorry for the confusion, I should have thought of that before posting. I am sure it will come in handy especially if I upgrade my monitor.
Thanks again for a very useful utility.
DeeVee,
Joe.

I work at 1024x768 to, but I just close one menu side in Z and it fits. I have everything I use the most on the left menu anyway, so closing one isn't a problem. And it can be brought up and closed again, which doesn't effect the painter script.

Hi sorry if I wasn't clear. I didn't mean the restore button. I meant the buttons at the top left hand side of the screen that allow you to close the program or minimize it. They disappear up under the top of the browser where they can't be reached.

Thanks for your reply, I will try adjusting the monitor itself.

But as for your script, it is neat I love it as I frequently shade colours and it is a lot easier than trying to find the same shade you had a second ago on the colour slider. Thanks! I am sure I will figure it out.

Thanks Aurick - downloading as I type. Looking forward to trying this out tomorrow. :tu:

BTW, the interface skin is almost a work of art in itself. :)

Northstar, when you change the monitor settings you usually have to adjust the screen manually. Somewhere you should have little buttons to scale it so things look right.

Aurick... I don't think I said thanks... Thanks ~BG~ love it.
