Hi,
is 1.5 for download now or not? I didn't see any anouncement for this here. And they said it would be. So what is going on? Seems that I took a day of from work for nothing. ****
We ran into difficulties with Digital River's servers, and are working to correct them. Please see this thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=000668).

The server at Zbcentral is going crazy. I'm sure most of the posts have been deleted, but there was a issue with the company that Zbrush uses for downloading 1.5. Check back in an hour or so.

There was an announcement for about an hour I guess, but they pulled it off when Digital River ran into a problem with their servers. :(

what is this digital river and were do i look in it to find the z brush thread
Digital River is the company you buy ZBrush through and hold all your purchase info. The version 1.51 files have been delivered to the site, but Digital River need to get all the purchasing and membership sorted for registered users.
It shouldn't take to long!
What about those of use who purchased through DAZ I wont be in the digital rivers system?
Matthew's onto it! Maybe's he's catching a few hours sleep at the moment, while Digital River get sorted.
Big day ahead!!! ;)

I purchased mine last year around Christmas I think. Don't remember going through any Digtal Rivers. I am confused. If you purchased through Digital Rivers then you can download it just fine (once it is available) but if you are not in their system you have to wait for clearance which could take how long? Several more days?
That is a very interesting question Mentat. I wrote to pixologic many months ago asking them about the proceedure for download if it was not purchased at digital river. I was told that instructions would be given later.
Now that the day has arrived I find that like you I have to send in the information along with hundreds maybe thousands of other people, this has to be hand checked and verified so I presume it will take a while.
I do not understand why pixologic did not gather this information during the last few months so that users who supported the company from ages ago would not be the very last people to be able to download.
But this sort of seems par for the course these days.
C'mon everyone. Have some faith in this company! :)
I've owned ZB for almost two years, and this is the first time there's been a snag with getting an update.
I'm sure they've got the heat on Digital River to get things straightened out, and before we know it, we'll all be having a great time with the new version.
And I'm sure that those of you who purchased through another source will be right there with us.
In the meantime, have some fun with the version we already have. :)
BTW, for those of you who purchased online through Pixologic's web site, the company that originally handled the process was Get Software. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Digital River took over with 1.23b. If you purchased ZB prior to 1.23b, you would have gotten an e-mail from Pixologic advising of the availability of 1.23b when it was first released, with info on how to download.
When the info was posted last night/this morning, I followed the instructions, but kept getting a message that my order could not be found. I called Digital River, and was able to get my customer number and order number.
So, question for Sunny and others, when and through who did you originally purchase ZB?

That's the truth Jack 1. We need to give pixologic and this Digital River some slack. After all, they are selling us the best 3d modelling and 2.5d drawing computer software in the world to date.

Wow Jack, you are the first person I've known to own ZBrush for that long and have only 15 posts and just registered to the forum this month!
I registered the week I first bought Z back in April of '01.

I registered before I downloaded the demo.

I don't know when I registered. I downloaded the demo, didn't sleep for a week, and woke up some time later with the full version and a registered zbc account... but they have no PROOF that it's addictive...
I was a member of the ZAcademy, and have been a member here since it's inception.
Unfortunately, I neglected to keep a copy of my password, and couldn't retrieve it because my e-mail has changed. So I re-registered.
While I rarely post, I lurk here constantly, as I love the images that are posted.

I'm not complaining about anything. Just confused about everything that has happened since I went to sleep at 2:00 am this morning. I downloaded from Pixologic's website so I am hoping what you suspect about that process is true Jack. I am content to wait another week or two if need be if that is what it takes to get it perfect. :)
Ah! Well as a longtime user too I'd love to see your work in Z! Do you have a website with some work? or maybe you could post a piece or 2. :tu:

I was here at midnight when the first announcement went up and then came down. They said if you are NOT in the Digitalriver system, and purchased ZB earlier (prior to Nov 2001), to send emails to matthew@pixologic.com, for "special instructions".
they need:
1- name used when purchasing
2- email address that was used
3- source of your purchase
I got ZB 2 years ago when they used getsoftware.com as the download source
Y :o EEEHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
It's here!!!!!
On my system now!!!! :) :) :)
