Another futuro-melancholic postcard...
And yes, still in 1.23b. D.S.

another great one!! your art pulls me in and makes me feel so small in contrast to the objects (spaceships or buildings). They are so totally believable! Very very detailed work and lighting and on and on.. Thanks so much for sharing this one and the other ones as well!!

Nice work Daniel Sandner, I really like the volumetric fog effects, the tiny detailing and the textures/colours that U have used in this image. :tu: :tu: :tu:

I didn't have much time for SF imagery until you started your series... Another excellent atmospheric image. :tu: :tu: :tu:

Another nice one Daniel! The orange fog on this gives it a different and pleasing effect :tu:

This is very different for you...yet still easily discernible as your unique style. I think it's the use of the orange color that makes it different. All Z? I love the volumetric atmosphere you have achieved, so if that is also zbrush, please give us some tips!

Thank you for your encouraging comments!
Again, this image is rendered in ZB 1.23b.
The atmosphere effect is achieved with applying fog texture in RENDER tab. The texture is painted in ZB.
You may check my thread "Landing" about volumetric atmospheres, and there is some info about texturing in my recent "The Fields" thread.

Hey Daniel, another beautiful piece, very painterly, leaves room for the imagination -- in a way it reminds me of science-fiction art of the 60s and 70s :tu:

If anyone approaches you to do book covers, you should definitely expect top rate, e.g., at least what Michael Whelan gets

Thanks also for your technical tips :)
