They started out a 3Dsphere tool.

I'll post the ZTL on my downloads page tomorrow.

They actually resemble a pair of dentures...

Gracias!!

Okay, that's all that I remember from Highschool spanish class......

It was SOOOOOOOOOo very nice to be able to spend days just making a Zpic.

My website ate up 3 weeks of my time...argh!!! But it was worth it.

The guy actually started out as a practice session with model building and masking...I ended up with the scene after building backgrounds for the downloads page. Once I had the Pueblo and hatch covered window...the rest just came (The Day of the Dead is my favorite theme....)

I'll be putting the background and sombrerro up today on the downloads page. I also have 6 new textures and 2 new backgrounds..... as well as 3 new models.

I'll be back......

Hello Kathy,

Great image - it's a lot of fun. I like it when cultures take a grim topic then turn it around. Death is serious but we must not forget we are alive.

121 = 1st the theme, great theme. Here's this guy walking around wearing trinkets representing death and he's got this big smile :D

The adobe wall is perfectly textured. I think the window is realistic with it's curved edges. However the scale is peculiar.

I like the juxtaposition of the dancing black death trinkets countered by the brilliant white smile exposed teeth and wide bright eyes - nice teeth modeling.

I like the hat placement and texture but the don't like the squared off sections - I would expect it to be round. This may just be me or perhaps these hats are actually this shape?

The hair - stubble, eyebrows, head hair and particularly the mustache are very well done.

My biggest issue is actually a ZBrush issue - how it deals with shadows. Because of the way ZBrush deals with shadows - those cast by the skeletons and by our happy Senor all indicate they are within inches of the wall. You could counter this by painting the shadows within ZBrush but I prefer to do the shadows in PSP or Photoshop.

I typically add or intensify shadows in Photoshop using masks created by painting individual objects a flat white. These mask selections can be skewed to help in the illusion of distance.

I do like this image, perhaps it my new favorite of your work :D My daughter played the game Grim Fandango and liked it so much she adopted the internet moniker Fandango.

Congratulations on your web site - good work :tu:

Wow!

Great 121 JB.

I have to agree with you on your points of concern. Particularly the shadows.

I don't have photoshop...yet. My birthday is in 3 weeks.... :D

BUT once I do get PSP (how's that for positive thinking) I hope to apply it's abilities to these finer points.

I do appreciate your taking such an extended view on this work.

Tell Fandango I said "Hola!)
