I just finished up with a new picture. I wanted to practice modeling something a little less organic for this one. Hope you all enjoy it.

:b4: Edited the post to put the fixed flooring. Thanks, I didn't notice the odd perspective on it.

WOW Tami . . . ;)

That is a real masterpiece! I can't believe how far you've come with ZBrush, in such a short time. :D

I like everything about this image - the armor looks very good - I like the marble texture flooring - the copper plate at the bottom of the armor adds that perfect touch to the image. :tu: :tu: :tu:

I'll bet you've got a suit of armor standing somewhere in your house, & that's how you built such a realistic & detailed model??? Come on now, you can admit it to us. Heheheh.

I'm glad you choose another path in your art work, for now, I can't wait nor can I even guess what your next image post will be???

Have a good one . . . Mark.

i'm a great fan of your work, Tag, and this picture is only another reason why everyone should be.

this is incredible. the modeling is totally amazing. did you manage to make the knight one polymesh? from the helmet to the feet, this guy is perfect. i don't know if there's anything i would change. you did great. keep it up.

Hello Tag,

Your modeling continues to grow in complexity, very nice :tu: The material chosen matches the subject quite well.

If I may make a suggestion, you may wish to use the "perspective" modifier on the marble floor plane so that the marble tiles would appear to get smaller as distance increases.

wonderful piece, Tami! well, impending has already mentioned the only thing i would have had to suggest for any improvements: make this fantastico knight really stand upon that wonderful museum-floor by changing the latter’s perspective and voila: another flawless Tamimasterpiece for my private collection! :D + :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thank you everyone for your compliments. This one was fun and different to model.

No suits of armor hidden in my closets :) I've just spent too much time playing eq and a few other games. I looked at a bunch of pictures of armor for reference prior to starting the modelling on this one.

Rather than a single polymesh, I made it in parts; the helm, upper arms and pauldrons, BP, lower arms and gauntlets, legs, shoes, and whatever you call the things on the hips :) They are all native tools (not polymeshes) so they could be combined into a single object, but to get some of the smooth shapes and detail I divided the mesh quite a bit. It would probably be a huge tool.

Robo, thanks for making me laugh once again. I also fixed the floor real quick. I didn't notice the perspective was off until your comments. Thanks for pointing it out :)
