Polaris30 I have ran quit a few zscripts and in this one your use of alphas to create some of the 3d objects is amazingly  and so is your use of alphas for lighting underwater. Thanks for including the sea fan- so simple to do and so powerful a statement when used in your image. :tu: :tu: :tu: ;)
BTW the making of the seaweed (imo) was very creative from a pe-loaded Z2 ztool

Glad you like the method,

you can do the same thing with Zspheres to make the fan coral, it would be better for if you wanted to export to other program... Zspheres make round looking braches with not so many polys...

Just make a Zsphere branch, and use same method, glueing little branches to the main mesh useing multi markers...

glad you like the Alpha trick, can make carnations, and MUM flowers easy doing this too :) I call them POPcorn flowers... try diffrent alphas for diffrent types of pettles :)

I am going to go and give Linux a little test drive , then i wil be back later to make more stuff...( If I dont screw up my hard disk installing Linux again)

have a good one :)

Thanks for the zspheres info- I think doing it with zspheres like you said would make it posable for animation- in that the sea fan could sway with the water current (imo)
