Hi Ezrider
For the pesent version no but for the next ...but you can export your model in any prog :)
In Zbrush you can recording any session of your modeling and painting...texturing and replay it for seeing the objects moving in any direction of the space
(if you have move it of course :D)
Replay the tuts inside for experience :)
Like a cinema :)
And of course there is also a "Movie" Section for introduce text graphic animated transition etc... for comment your recording session :)
Very pedagogic prog!
But you right not a real movie exportation :) maybe in the near futur :D
Hope this help before the next imminente version :)

How do you use and access the Make 3D option, that is creating a 3D mesh skin from the currently selected alpha?

To use an image as a background reference template, simply import it into the texture palette, select the Flat Color material, and press Ctrl+F to fill the layer with it.
Now draw whatever you will be sculpting from. Use the gyro to move it toward you, since it will be embedded within the canvas, and change the Draw>RGB Intensity to a lower value. The object will become transparent, so you can see your reference image through it. Now enter Edit mode and have fun. :)
My QuadQuick (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=008417) ZScript also allows you to use background images.
Regarding animation, ZBrush is not an animation package. Instead, it is designed to offer features that dovetail nicely with an animators workflow, doing things that an animation package cannot accomplish easily. So you can use ZBrush to sculpt models, create morph targets, and paint textures with greater ease and speed.
