Hi guys I am wondering when doing really hi res stuff how many times do we wanna divide and do we wanna keep the ssm every time?
wouldn`t smoothing make you loose a lot of detail?
do we ever wanna work at say a level 6?

You can overdevide which is just about as bad as too low res. I got a warning after I hit level 4. I could not use the projection master if I subdivided any more, had to go back to 2. So I don't see that there would be a reason to go up to a level 6. I don't even know if it will go up to level 6?? But maybe Aurick or someone more experienced with Z2 would be able to give you a better reply.

I keep smoothing on, at least up until I can no longer see any individual faces in the mesh. Once they get small enough, smoothing isn't really needed.
As for detail levels, it really just depends on the mesh you're using. One model I imported that was kinda dense only needed up till level 3, but on another I had to go all the way to 6 to be able to get nice crisp folds/cracks in the flesh. Just add as much as you need, and you computer can handle. :)
