Body and Head

When u make an caracter, do u guys use diferents layers and tools for the body and head?
any tutorial/script showing someone modeling it? :D

Hey Parasite,

I'm no expert but sometimes I do layers, sometimes I do all on one layer, but always I do separate body and separate head.
