Im having trouble with the z slider. Is there some other pallette that works with the z slider so i can get a visual idea of the relative distance one layer is from another. Also the slider doesnt seem to be accurate because it seems to jump around and not respond to incremental changes. Is the a keyboard shortcut or a more intuitive way of z sliding layers? All i know is the z slider itself.i dont know if there are other ways to affect the depth of a layer relative to other layers.
Yes, the Z Slider is a bit strange...it works often, but sometimes it crazy me
Well, there is another method to move layer...pressing the ~ with ALT key and dragging with the mouse allows to move the layer in Z direction (to use the keys you must press ~ THEN press ALT without release the ~).
There are other strange things..like the H and V displace layers...sometime they don't works: example, if you have the MRGBZ grabber selected they don't works in any way. There must be other combinations ....

p.s. Aurick help requested....
To change a layer's depth, my favorite method is typing the amount of change into Layer>Displace Z. Positive values move the layer farther away, and negative values bring it closer.
To tell the depth of any pixol on the canvas, make sure that you have only the Transform>Draw pointer active (not a gyro, and not in Edit mode). Then watch the Transform>Info>Z slider. Its value will always be the pixol immediately below the cursor.
Aurick is right...but...if i use the sliders H,V and Z Displace from Float Menu they don't work well...sometimes move the canvas and sometimes not.
A small bug i think...

p.s. thank you Aurick :tu:
