These models are loosely based off ones described from a short story by Clark Ashton Smith.

A couple things here, the first one is my first lo-poly model (first model ever too...), I made it in Wings3D and textured it in zbrush155 and painter 8. I wanted to build it in Zbrush, but I could figure out how to do it with zSpheres and get rid of the weird buckling at the joints.

Having said that, this is an attempt/WIP in zbrush (this time in version2) to make a lo-poly model, using the zSpheres to make a model. Here are a couple questions.

1. I'm still getting some buckling in the hands and at the inner upper thigh where it connects to the hip.

2. When I export it, it seems to segment it into many pieces, is there some button I'm not clicking?

3. How do I add poly's to specific areas, particularly I want to give it round eyes on the side of it's head. I tried using spheres, but I got this weird buckling that I didn't like.

4. Is there something else I'm not thinking of?

Thanks, let me know what you think about it in general too.

Hi Sakievich
You say when you export? can you share how you do it? and you export with material? what you refer to many pieces ? to this point that at first i did not answer was because im not sure what you refer but ...
a.-I suggest export and then reimport in ZB because in this way ZB automatically compensates the diferences between program in the right way.
b.-Also the iFlip/eFlip button flips models along the axis you want.(x,y,z).
(All this are in the Help tutorials)

c.-For the second: In ZB2 the edgeloop is the appropiate tool for add in specific areas more poligons and produce indentations.

ps:excuse me if this are not your point because sincerely im not sure at all i understand but...i try to help.

Very good modeling and texture work...
especially for your first!
It reminds me of the snakeman from the movie "Dreamscape"!

andreseloy-I figured out my problem with the export and thanks for your advice, I guess it had to do with how the zshperes segment an object an if you don't create a polymesh of it first, then it will be exported as a bunch of little pieces segmented according to the colored areas of the zspheres. It's all good now. I'll have to look at that edgeloop tool you mentioned, I assume that there is some sort of zscript that explains it. Can you also remove poly's with it in, so I can adjust the and smooth the creasing that happenes in some areas?

PusGhetty-I'll have to look up that movie.
