Ok, now that's more like it...need to work on the flowers and definitely on the water...trying to figure out how to get the orientation of an alpha tool to change.

Is that possible? For instance, if the preset alpha pattern runs horizontally, is there a way to paint it vertically?

I don't know if you can change the orientation while painting, but you can always rotate or flip the alpha before you use it. Does that help?

BTW, this is beautiful! I love the rays of light coming over the horizon.

Yes, you can rotate it to get the effect I was looking for!

Now we know the value of saving images in minute stages, but, thanks to you I can experiment with the alphas to get just the direction I need.




I'll need to rework the original now to get it in shape but this is a start.
