Wishful thinking

A shot at a landscape from more exotic climes - sadly all from imagination; not exactly typical of NW England!

All ZBrush except boat added from an imported mesh rendered in Vue d'Esprit then considerably shrunk and composited in PSP.

I then thought I'd try adding some Z-foliage using DeeVee's branch creation method as a foreground element. My first try with this technique - and more practice needed with the leaves, for sure. Flowers roughed out in ZBrush then detailed using PSP.

Hi FC, I like ita lot!. I guess I have been bomb-barding you folks with tropical vistas. Sorry about that!
Two comments. The boat is a bit close to land, I would move it out a little further in the bay. The leaves on your tree are a bit on the scanty side, the flowers are excellent. Composition excellent, land, excellent, sky excellent!

Apart from those two comments, which may or may not be valid I think the image is excellent. IMO. :D :D :D

Thanks DeeVee, I entirely accept your two points. I though the same about the boat, but unfortunately by that point had saved and overwritten the file, so there was no way back.

The leaves I had difficulty with, hence there sparseness - and in fact the inspiration to cover some mistakes with the flowers. Also (after posting) I notice some of the branches should have been a little more attenuated: the terminal twigs in some cases are a bit too thick. Still, like I said, first try... :rolleyes:

By the way - please keep bombarding us: I really look forward to my daily dose of tropical doodles! ;)
